Advanced Practice Providers are needed now more than ever in nephrology practices. The challenge is that current training programs don't prepare them to hit the ground running in a nephrology practice. Our 8-week course will provide APPs with the foundational knowledge required to confidently deliver sound medical care to patients with kidney disease, supplement nephrologists and add value to the kidney care team.
Ready for Rounds consists of more than 58 hours of interactive e-learning over a 8-week period. It comes with a clinical skills checklist for nephrologist or experienced APP preceptors and weekly competency exams administered online to evaluate retention and application of learning. Previous attendees have been able to obtain dialysis unit privileges upon successful program completion.
Course modules are available on-demand to our enrolled Advanced Practice Providers each week. All that is needed is an internet connection and computer, tablet or other mobile device. Our platform allows for easy playback and progress tracking so students can work through weekly material at a pace that is convenient for them and their busy schedules.
