Equipping Advanced Practitioners with Education and Training

Advanced Practitioners are needed now more than ever in nephrology practices.  The challenge is that current training programs don't prepare you to hit the ground running in a nephrology practice.  Our 6-week online interactive course will provide Advanced Practitioners with the foundational knowledge required to confidently provide sound medical care to patients with kidney disease, supplement nephrologists and add value to the kidney care team.

You've Hired an AP, now what?

Metrolina Nephrology Associates Charlotte, NC

George Hart, MD, Chief Medical Officer

George Hart is a general and transplant nephrologist with more than 28 years of clinical experience in private practice. He has served as the President of Metrolina Nephrology Associates since 2005 and has guided the practice's growth from 12 nephrologists and 2 advanced practitioners to 35 and 30 respectively. Working side-by-side for the last 20 years, Dr. Hart has seen the strong capabilities, enhancements to patient care, and value provided by well-trained advanced practitioners first hand. Recognizing years ago that the numbers of nephrology fellows were shrinking, Dr. Hart and Metrolina intentionally began growing the advanced practitioner team not only in number but with structured education, training, and a company culture enabling them to perform at the top of their scope of licensure.
